International Greens call for democracy and Green action!

International Green delegates from 70 countries met in Dakar, Senegal, 29th March - 1st April, for the first ever Global Green Congress held in Africa (www.dakar2012.org) and tackled issues such as solidarity, democracy, biodiversity, climate change, and the future of the Global Greens parties.

 

This Global Greens gathering was preceded by the 2nd African Greens Congress on 28th and 29th March 2012, which was supported by Green Forum Sweden and the 3rd Global Young Greens Congress, from 27th-29th March 2012.

The entire family of the African greens federation (AGF) is in deep sorrow after the sudden death, on Friday August 20, 2021 of the Professor, Papa Meissa DIENG, formerly President of the “Convergence des Ecologistes du Senegal” (CES), founding member of the Federation of African Green political parties and its former Secretary General.

We firmly express our total rejection of the practice that is being installed in S. American continent, in order to persecute the political adversary using a strategy of judicialization of politics.

Communiqué de presse sur l'épidémie de pandémie de Covid-19

La Fédération des Verts Africains AGF a appris avec inquiétude la récente flambée de la pandémie Covid19 qui a ravagé le monde entier. L'épidémie qui a commencé en Chine s'est propagée au monde entier avec presque tous les pays touchés et certains n'ont pas encore enregistré de victimes. L'Italie et la plupart des pays européens ont été les plus touchés. Cela dérange AGF en tant que groupement continental. Des milliards de dollars ont déjà été perdus alors que plusieurs pays mettent en œuvre des mesures avérées pour contenir la propagation du virus.

Press statement on the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak

The African Greens Federation AGF has learnt with gravy concern the recent outbreak of the Covid19 pandemic which has ravaged the whole world. The outbreak which started in China has spread to the whole world with almost all the countries affected and some yet to record victims. Most affected have been Italy and most of the European countries. This is disturbing to AGF as a continental grouping. Already trillions of dollars have been lost as several countries implement and proven measures to contain the spread of the virus.

Le RAPEC (Réseau africain des Promoteurs et Entrepreneurs culturels), porteur de la JMCA, journée mondiale de la culture africaine, connait un essor constant puisque les partis verts africains (Les Ecologistes d'Afrique) adoptent officiellement l'idée de rendre hommage à l'Afrique, Berceau de l'Humanité, chaque 24 Janvier. Une belle avancée pour le vivre ensemble à l'échelle du continent, et pour une célébration elle-même promise à un bel avenir.
