• To mainstream Green principles and values into government policies as well as those of the African Union

• To monitor and evaluate the progress on international commitments on environmental related issues

• To influence, encourage and assist communities within Africa to sustainably manage their natural resources

• To promote unity and reconciliation among African people Principles
