East African Greens Federation held Campaigns, Election and Women trainings as well as an Ordinary Congress in Kigali, Rwanda

The Eastern Africa Greens Federation successfully trained member parties on elections and campaigns and held a women training workshop in Kigali, Rwanda from 13th to 16th 2016. These events were hosted by the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda.

Most participants confessed that the training was very relevant and greatly enhanced their skills in campaigning and elections winning.

EAGF also had an ordinary congress, which immediately took place after the training. The congress approved new members: Afro-greens Party of Kenya and Burundi Green Movement.

Académie Verte et 4ème Congrès de la FéPEV-RAO

Les membres de la Fédération des Partis Écologistes et Verts d'Afrique de l'Ouest (FéPEV-RAO) ont tenu leur Académie Verte et leur 4ème congrès statutaire du 15 au 18 décembre à Niamey (Niger).

L'académie Verte qui s'est ouverte le 15 décembre a permis un renforcement des capacités des participants venus du Burkina Faso, du Mali, su Sénégal, de la Côte d'Ivoire, du Togo et du Niger avec quatre communications aussi importantes et instructives les unes que les autres et présentées par d’éminentes personnalités.

Congratulations to the former Austrian Greens Leader for winning Presidential elections

On behalf of the African Greens Federation and the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda, we gladly congratulate the former Austrian Greens Leader, Mr.Alexander Van der Bellen, for winning the presidential elections.

A legally binding international treaty on climate change should be the ultimate target

Marrakech, Morocco hosted the 22nd Conference of Parties for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC)-COP22 between 7th-18th November 2016. This conference also acted as the first session of the conference of Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 1), which entered into force on 4th November.

Créé en 2010 « la Gauche Verte »,  représentant un nouveau courant politique au Maroc, participe aussitôt aux élections législatives de 2011 et 2016 et  aux locales de 2015. Le parti se hisse au parlement avec un élu et s’y maintient  aux dernières élections.

African Greens Condemn the Violent Attack on the Offices of Parti Ecologistes Congolais

The African Greens Federation condemns in the strongest terms possible the barbaric attack on the offices of its member party, the Parti Ecologistes Congolais led by Hon.Didace Pembe Bokiaga.

Burning PECO’s offices is a cowardly act in the 21st century, political parties should solve their political differences and problems through dialogue and non-violent means.

Violence escalates violence and never solves any problem, solutions are always found through dialogue.

Résolution des Verts africains condamnant l'attaque violente contre les bureaux du Parti Ecologiste Congolais (PECO)

La Fédération des Verts Africains condamne dans les termes les plus forts l’attaque barbare contre les bureaux de  l’un des partis membres notamment le Parti Ecologiste Congolais- Les Verts- dirigé par l’Honorable Didace Pembe Bokiaga .

 Brûler les bureaux du PECO est un acte lâche dans le 21e siècle, les partis politiques doivent résoudre leurs différends politiques et les autres problèmes par le dialogue et les moyens non violents.

Green Forum at the Center of the African Greens Success Story

It was during the Second Global Greens Congress in April-May 2008 which took place in Sao Paulo-Brazil, that Green Forum Sweden recommitted itself in support the African Greens Network, as it was called then. Previous efforts in West Africa and East Africa had not been successful and this was a serious cause for concern, since without the continent of Africa, there would not be a Global Greens Movement.

Une tribune d’échanges entre experts et responsables écologistes

Après Bamako en mai, Alger en juillet, c’est au tour de Maurice d’accueillir  en août  2016 une rencontre régionale de la Fédération des Verts d’Afrique (FeVA). La rencontre d’Alger tenue du 28 au 31 juillet a, pour sa part regroupé les partis membres de la Fédération nord africaine des Verts, des représentants de la FeVA, la Coordonatrice du Global Greens sous le signe d’échanges et de partage d’expériences avec des experts Algériens du développement durable.

Southern Africa Greens Federation Press Communique on Elections Training in Mauritius
